THE LIFE CHANGERS
Everyone who has been through further or higher education has a story to tell about the staff who made it possible, about the people who opened up a new area of knowledge, persuaded them that they could achieve more and in the words of one student 'switched a light on' which once illuminated never goes off. Life Changers is a celebration of this important contribution, initiated by the University and College Union. The UCU invited nominations of Life Changers from across the UK and will hold an award ceremony this Wednesday 16th May 2007 honouring, among others, , Head of Sociology at the LSE, who joins Libby Purves live in the studio.听
