The government recently announced that it would get advice on "strategies to ensure effective school discipline".听听 Can pupils' behaviour be improved by better teaching techniques?
BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT
Educational Consultant and specialist trainer John Bayley, who works with schools on teaching technique and behaviour management, joins us to discuss the issues and Teddy Prout a music teacher at Highgate Wood School.

SCIENCE
In recent years the number of students studying science A levels in the UK has fallen.听 Some university Physics and chemistry departments have closed down but science graduates are still needed.听

Libby Purves听speaks to Fran Balkwill, Professor of Cancer Biology at Queen Mary University of London and Dr Alan Beeby, a Principal Lecturer in the Department of Applied Science at London South Bank University, to find out how science can be made more interesting to young people.

IMPINGTON FOREIGN STUDENTS
International students have been an asset to Further Education and Higher Education for a long time.听 Caroline听Swinburne visits听Impington Village College, a state school, which is also promoting an international environment in its sixth form.

Chris Weekes, Vice Principal at Broxtowe College in Nottingham and a member of the Association of Colleges International Committee tells us why international students enrich education.
