Sheepish looks

Anne (all things in moderation at IBHQ) set me thinking with her report about the pink rabbits. I was wondering whether feeding our sheep a diet of marag and mustard would produce Macleod of Lewis tartan on the hoof.

Just like the WIT (Western Isles Tunnel), it seems I鈥檓 only just catching up with the times. Seemingly someone鈥檚 already producing coloured sheep,,,

... and there鈥檚 even a place on the mainland that鈥檚 rearing tartan sheep.

We've an experiment taking place in Ness. We are tipping tomatoes into the harbour at Port of Ness in the hope of breeding red herring.

calumannabel from Peyton Plaice Plasterfield

over here people tag walls, not sheep! they look great though(the sheep)!!

carol from france

I know walls have ears, but where exactly would you put the tag?

Nic from Coll

Good to see you're buckling down to it calumannabel.

Annie B. you are quite impossible. Hilarious. May I give you an Oscar? a Grammy? .... a marag?!

Aw thanks mjc. Mwah. Mwah (Chrissie Mary tells me that's how you do Continental air-kissing, She's been reading the Adabrock Enquirer again.) Are French sheep very chic Carol? Do they have chignons? Do they air-kiss? Tag is a playground game here. I don't think that sheep play tag. Tomatoes are a treat with ham for salad days in Ness (when vistors call in) and not for harbouring... so I think that Calum's off on another red herring.

Seemingly Lewis Crofters are now rushing to stock up on new L'Oreal Elvive wool dye. 'Because Ewe're worth it.'

Chrissie Mary Murray (Miss) from Lewis

Glad to see there were no Size Zero sheep modelling these fashions.

Dyed in the wool IB fan from England

Did they get their hair dye at Woollies?

Lurker from Lewis

Where are the green ones? They're the next big thing.....it's the built-in mint sauce....

annie b:- french sheep get painted up when the shepherds take them up to the hills in june they walk for about 30kilometers over two or three days with loads oif tourists folowing-its a great sight, then they all come back down to the valleys at the end of september! tagging over here is when vandals paint signs or other squigles over newly painted walls ,doors etc! very annoying!

carol from france

Obviously France is not Wales....if you saw a straggle of bipeds following sheep in Wales, they would be very worried little ovines indeed....

Flying Cat from chasing the hentilags

Goodness Carol, we don't have that kind of fuss at our fanks - except when there's a Dating Extravaganza in South Dell - and then it's the people who get painted up
