Life
at Blackmoor Park in the 1970s |
|
An
interview with Mrs Davies - a past pupil.
Interviewed
by Jessica and Katherine.
In
the 1970's Mrs Davies attended Blackmoor Park Junior school,
we interviewed her, these are her comments about the school...
Mrs
Davies entered this school in year 4 and had Mr Dewsnap
for her form teacher.
Whe she moved up to year 5 she had Mrs Penkman.
Finally in year 6 she had Mr Strawbridge.
Mrs Davies also had Mrs Jones in year 6 for maths.
She only had one head teahcer, Mr Carr, whom she disliked
greatly! |
Mrs
Davies said,
"I was rubbish at sport, and never managed to get
into a team - never mind captain!"
She also said,
"I couldn't sing, but I managed to get into a quiz
once - I didn't win but it was fun!" |
Mrs
Davies' funniest moment in the school was when Mr Owen
hung notes out of his window saying,
"Hello, How Are You?"
It made everyone laugh!
Another funny time was when Mr Strawbridge was trying
to prove something and he drew a line right across the
floor, up the wall and across the ceiling and down the
other wall. When they tried to rub it off it wouldn't
come off and it was there for years! |
Throughout
her stay in Blackmoor, Mrs Davies has really enjoyed
the school and therefore decided to come back as a teacher!
Mrs Davies has now been working in this school for 8
years! |
