Where is he now?

Has gone to live in Spain with his partner Barbara.

An ex Merchant Seaman, he and his wife split up when he finished working on the boats and they started to live together full time, all the time. The situation resolved itself when he moved into his mother's to look after her and when she died, he stayed living apart from his wife. It was all quite amicable, they divorced when she met someone else, and they still had a practical arrangement whereby she'd cook his dinners for him on a daily basis.

He's a romantic and his relationship with his ex-wife foundered when real life intruded, i.e. when they no longer had only short periods of time together. He's got a couple of kids who have grown up and moved away.

He's neat, practical, good at DIY and imaginative. He keeps himself very busy in his retirement and all his bits work.

Having seen the world, he's a bit of a roughish diamond, with a twinkle in his eye.

He and Barb met during a spiritualist church meeting and immediately clicked because they share a similar sense of humour.

His proposal to Barb was precipitated by the approach of winter. There was no way he was spending it in Bryncoed but Barb was loathe to go with him unless she was made an honest woman which was cool with him. They splashed a bit of cash on the wedding because they're both romantics and wanted their families and friends to share their love. The Reception wass also a Bon Voyage party too, both he and Barb wanted to enjoy a good party with their friends before they left.
