Where is she now?

Died of CO2 poisoning at the end of Series 5.

Dani had a surprisingly strong relationship with Joe, despite the fact that they became parents when she was still a teenager. She was very much in love with Joe and had been prepared to tacitly accept his bisexual promiscuity.

However, his affair with Owen made her extremely anxious and she became pregnant to appease Joe - who had been trying to talk her into having another baby for some time - and to give her a bargaining chip with which to get him to stop seeing Owen.

Dani suspected that Joe wasn't keeping to the bargain and even when he did stop seeing Owen, Joe still couldn't stay faithful to her. When Joe was charged with indecent behaviour, Dani threw him out, though when Callum was born prematurely she asked Joe if he wanted to come back.

Despite everything, Dani still wanted to believe she and Joe could work things out and it was he who realised he couldn't change and left Dani to cope alone as a single mum.

Since Joe moved away to London to work (and play), Dani found things hard - emotionally and financially. He hadn't seen the children and his monetary contributions were equally erratic.

She since found uncertain comfort with unpredictable Andy. Having decided to put her faith in him, she was determined he was going to succeed, even if she had to do all the real work.

Dani is now deceased.
