Mum's on her way home

Just heard from Dad that Mum is on her way back from Ireland tonight. This news is great for two reasons - one I get to see her again (she's not a bad old stick). Secondly it means I get to stay with my Uncle Brian for the night. I have my own chair in his house to rest on. He won't let me on the settee whilst he is watching telly, but I sneak over there as soon as he goes to bed. He always has a lovely warm house as well. So I am in for an extra cozy night.
Have been helping my Dad with his boat this week. He has now taken it out of the water and it is in Balvicar boatyard for the winter. I am sure he is sad that he can't go out on it again for a few months (especially as the weather is so nice) but he can always use one of the fleet that has built up behind the house!
Had plenty of walks in the past few days apart from Wednesday, when it rained really hard. Didn't really feel like walking outside in the rain so just relaxed in the house for a bit.
Hope Brian lets me have a mooch around Toberonochy harbour later today or tomorrow morning. There are always hares to be chased around there.....
