Blogging again - well !!!1

I haven't blogged for a long time, but here I am signing in again. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since I last wrote, in January I think. I had a lot of computer trouble and wasn't able to solve the problem till a new one was purchased. I am therfore blessed with a new machine from whichI hope to get a long time of joy and satisfaction.
Summer is with us again; the last few days have been good; warm and sunny. It is strange how even a day of good sunny weather can bring out the best in our surroundings; what a lift it gives us; but it is still hard for me to come to terms with one or two good days then a few days of winter like conditions. I can't help thinking that at a time such as this the predictions regarding our climate upset are nothing but true.
Think of it, my father used to relate that when he was a boy the boots were discarded in April or May and weren't worn again till October. This a clear indication of some what of a change some where along the line; I'm sure that I haven't made a serious mistake regard the present situtation.
Well folks we'll soon be into the Autumn and this will be our last chance to enjoy good sunny days, but going on recent years the winter could be mild. Though, no evidence remains of stackyards brimming over with hay stacks and corn stacks. Is this also the appearance of nothing less than a big change. Really, I don't think that I am misinformed.

Back At Base.

I just returned from STORNOWAY the other day after a few days on the beautiful ISLE OF LEWIS I had good weather, and the people were as usual, a delight.

When I opened my blogging window I discovered two comments and was pleased to see names with which I was once familiar : Nic from Coll and Sunny from Arran. Yes Nic, I'm glad to be back. The weather is bound to have been better in the past; no serious pollution for a start.
Sunny, What is different about Arran - weeks of glorious sunshine and the rain falls at night!!! Has this also got something to do with Climate Change - diverse weather types in opposite parts of Scotland!!!
Never mind, It appears to me that we not only live on a fragile planet but in a world that is off balance, need I say more, not if you indulge in paying attention to the numerous media provisions.

Scotland is pretty well ahead with renewable energy so that some one has asked if we are or that we are benefiting already from an improved atmosphere, and maybe therfore better weather - Hence what we've had of late.To the leyman this is possible while the so called expert might not entertain such suggestions at any cost. But I am willing to take anything, almost, on board in my need for hope, now and the future.

I'm very fond of birds, and do a little passive bird watching, I am therefore one of those people who are not happy if they are mistreated in any way. A friend of mine, though, who lives by the shore cannot any longer keep ducks or hens, young or old, as the big black backed seagulls kill them. In spite of the fact that I'm so fond of my feathered friends, in a case like this, the possession of a shotgun would be in order.
