A Change Of Narrative

I usally like to prepare my blogs beforehand , But this weekend I didn't and I am entering just a fairly short one. Nodoubt better than none at all.

Over the Easter period this year, wev'e had quite extraordinary weather. I can hardly remember seeing such before. The island abounded in tourists and they seemed to enjoy it; the back packers and cycalists too.

I don't expect it's a good policy to look ahead too much as regards the weather, but someone said to me today, "I hope this is not our Summer we're getting now." Well who knows!

I think that my interest in Climate Change and Global Warming has waned somewhat recently, but the dispute still goes on as to what the cause is. I still believe in the man induced proposition as regards the pollution of the atmosphere.

I hope you had a nice Easter.

Have to admit, the sheer unreliability of the weather scares me a fair bit sometimes. I know we can often be accused of looking at the past with rose tinted specs but I DO remember my childhood being able to rely upon fairly constant seasons. Not any more though. :-(

The hot air is not due to climate change it is floating over from Vatersay and I think crofterbill is responsible. first its global warming and then freezing cold. blowing hot and cold with our own beautiful bluebell and the lovely carole from france.

You should start with 'Here's a blog I prepared earlier...' from now on

Yes a big change in the weather since 1942 when I was born; definately; and even since much later too. No, you are not looking back with rose tinted glasses. I'm sure that I could prove that.

Your idea is quite novel anything could be true ultimately. The crofter bill is a late comer not worth the hastle in the event of another ice age with no grass to graze the camels since the short horns and the herefords disappeared. What do you think Shorty - welcome to Tiree and island blogging. Island wanderer.

Well, Donald, good advice never went wrong. Island Wanderer.

Hi Island Wanderer. Could I suggest that when replying to comments you insert your own name and location in the relevant fields, rather than those of the person you're replying to? It makes it a bit confusing otherwise! Thanks very much. :)

Anne from IBHQ

Thank you Anne for trying to clear that up. I was getting quite agitated with having my good name hijacked! And surely I am not alone....

Who asked Sid?

There was always more hot air on Tiree and great expectations than substance. See my posting on Windmill thingy's. All green on Vatersay or just a tinge of Bluebell.

crofterbill from Vatersay

Did all the hot air on Tiree go up with Ballooncatcher?

Flying Cat from alert but not alarmed

Flying Cat, I give you my permission to write what you want.

Sid from Glasgow

Thank you so much.
