I'm sure it is better to BLOG than not to BLOG; though at the moment I don't feel very inspired. I suppose that if I keep to CLIMATE CHANGE and all that is attached with this subject an article of some interest is bound to arise.
Recently much has been said on this theme and concerned with the environment and atmosphere.Some say that the that the changes concerned are more natural than anything else; that they have happened at different times down through the ages; and therefore not man made.
Others are convinced that we are infact in serious trouble here and now and it is not likely to diminish now nor into the future of planet earth.
People who are aware of the pressing problems concerning these matters will grasp at any straw to make their relative views impress us the public, in the belief that they have the valid answer.
Many are certain that WIND FARMS are the answer to pollution while on the opposite they say NO- WIND FARMS would spoil the countryside.
The fact is, all being considered, is that we have a requirement to safe-guard our country and that all others be given this opportunity to do the same.The voice of reason must prevail with so much worthwhile knowledge available.

Perhaps it would much more interesting for us to hear how big the wind farm proposals on Tiree is likely to be as I am sure a lot of people will not be fully informed about the Tiree Development Plan. Perhaps you can tell us how big your self-sacrifice is likely to be?

wind power is great. we have it here in California, its a real boon to saving energy, and benefits everyone. wind farms Wouldn鈥檛 spoil the countryside. sure they are big. but they are also very exotic, and every time you see it in operation it gives one a sense of pride they are doing something good not only for the atmosphere, but also their own lives. Its much better than coal or oil. and certainly cleaner.
People cut down forests for wood. How is that any better for the countryside than something permanent like wind power. ???
