Was up early this morning putting out the Cocteau Twins (Pearly Dewdrops' Drops) and finally struggle back into µþÂáö°ù°ì (Play Dead) with the laptop Billy Bragg (Levi Stubbs' Tears). I felt barely Thunderclap Newman (Something in the Air) when The Farm (Groovy Train) went off, so had to Johnny Cash (25 minutes to go) and just made it by the seat of my Adam and the Ants (Kings of the Wild Frontier).

I really didn't want to Status Quo (Down Down), but Mrs Ramius reminded me that we'd be Christy Moore (The Voyage) if I didn't, so I had to take one for the D:Ream (Things Can Only Get Better). Well that woke me from my holiday Cream (Strange Brew) and made me pretty Clannad (In a Lifetime).

It was a tough Joy Division (Transmission), but I'm gonna put some Luther Wright and The Wrongs (Run Like Hell) on the back Ike and Tina Turner (Honky Tonk Woman) and Nick Cave (Where Wild Roses Grow) them until later. Otherwise you'll all think I'm being David Bowie (Life on Mars) and Steeleye Span (Hard Times of Old England) me.

Apart from Ruby Murray, the only singers I know who feature in rhyming slang are Mick Jagger (a drink) and Nat King Cole (a pastime).
