The 12" of Say Hello Wave Goodbye is, however, a complete reworking and vast improvement on the original - with a particularly outstanding oboe or clarinet solo (maybe its a synth)in the middle - even classical fans, like my elder brother, love this version. However, it has to be conceded its a bit longer than GIO normally play, so to have heard it would have been a bit of a bonus - but worth playing, the nation deserve to hear it..

I first heard this song last year when I was driving home from England after a bank holiday weekend. Everyone who drives through the Borders knows how erratic the radio signals can be. I hit the random search option and it locked on to a local station somewhere in Dumfries & Galloway. I recognized the song right away. It's a cover of the Bryan Adams song. It was so lovely it almost made me cry. Not good when you're on the unlit section of the M74 driving in the dark!
Please, please, please!ÌýDon't play the disco version by DJ Sammy & Yanou which is awful!
The version I like is the Unplugged version. For some reason they call it the Candlelight mix.
Thank you!
