Miss Babs is searching for 'Fab Fives' for Friday ( Oh such brilliant alliteration - maybe that should read 'Miss Babs is frantically finding Fab Fives for Friday!') Either way she is on the hunt for people who could pick five songs that sum up their unsual hobby or job. So far in this short series we have covered everyone from archaeologists to members of the aristocracy . Now it's getting more difficult. " I've got a mate who works in a pea factory" someone in the office has just said. I try my hardest not to be sarcastic and just as I was about to ask just how many times Bob Dylan had been inspired to write songs about the joys of canning mushy peas, Miss B pipes up with "Ooh, let's ask him then" . So this is what it's come to bloggers. Songs about working in a pea factory! Surely there can't be one never mind five of them? Let's see what you come up with then...

I think 'fab five' has run it's course - I'd rather hear 'the tracks that got way' or a spot called something like 'great tracks by unknown artists and unknown tracks by great artists' - theme? (or is that Pigs Will Fly x 5?)
How about a simple theme called .." less obvious"?
regardez youse

Is there any way there could be a link on the blog homepage to a "theme suggestions" thread? A thread that could be accessed each & every week, so that we don't have to search our way back through the blog archives to see what everyone has suggested in the depths of time?
Just a thought.
Now give peas a chance

And your gentleness now, which you just can't help but show,
Who among them do you think would employ you?

Just what I was thinking. Where is he? Is it three strikes and out with the Moderators? Is JfE in a Blog Cooler somewhere throwing a baseball against the wall? Maybe Norrie's gone off to spring him.
