This week's themes...
I hope everyone had a good Easter break and managed to cram in shedloads of chocolate scoffing, hot-cross bun chomping indulgence. There's always a different feel to holiday Mondays on air and I hope you enjoy the different kind of theme we've got lined up.
Monday
You won't be able to post in advance for tonight as it will all unfold during the show. We're going to do another one of our 'live' themes where every single song will be chosen whilst the previous track plays. The only catch is that the last word of the previous song must be included in the next track. For example, someone might suggest Sonic Boom Boy, we could follow this with The Boy Does Nothing then Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now, followed by It's Now Or Never and so on....
Tuesday
'Anything But Love' is the theme which is a night of songs featuring artists singing about any other emotion other than the one they sing about the most. Sadness, pain, joy and frustration are all welcome but the trick is to avoid love!
Wednesday
Mirror In The Bathroom, Rat in the Kitchen or Another Suitcase, Another Hall? Estate agents and interior designers will be calling in their droves to suggest songs for tonight's theme which is 'rooms in the house'.
Thursday
From Screaming Lord Sutch to Lady Gaga, tonight's theme celebrates pop's great eccentrics. If ever there was a night that Zappa makes it to the show then it's tonight. It's going to be two hours of the freakiest, maddest, weirdest people in pop.
