There are not many Radio Scotland programmes that make me bury my head in my hands with sheer embarrassment but today's Stark Talk was one of them. As usual Edi likes to get stuck in there and gets her guests to reveal bits of themselves which they hadn't revealed before. Best bit today was when she asked Craig Hill if his banter with an audience had ever gone horribly wrong. She then probed him on his most embarrassing moment. It was a complete cringe fest. If you've ever worried about saying the wrong thing to someone then listen to Craig's boob and you will realise that your own faux pas was not even worth bothering about. It's excruciating but very, very funny.

Let me also take the time to recommend another couple of Iplayer gems:

Alan Cumming's The Real Cabaret is a ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ 4 documentary which takes a look at the real story behind the film and examines the Berlin cabaret scene of the 1930s. As well as looking at the inspiration for the songs he also goes off in search of a modern day equivalent of Isherwood's experiences. He struggled as did I on my recent visit to Berlin. We booked up for a 'cabaret' night thinking we were going to get all singing, all dancing modern version of the Kit Kat club. What we got was an evening of comedy songs from Germany's answer to Richard Stilgoe. Incomprehensible, and about as funny as a boil on the bum.

The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's Electric Proms are well underway and you can see some of the highlights online. Don't miss Kid Adrift's session at the Maida Vale studios. Kid Adrift used to work in our building as an audio trainee and I'm thrilled that he's finally getting recognition for his music. It's a bit weird seeing someone you used to bump into in the canteen being touted by the national press for his winning blend of post-rock and dubstep ( me being such an expert on dubstep!).

Finally it's easy to slag off Robbie Williams, particularly after his starey-eyed X Factor appearance the other week. But you gotta admit that Britain's neediest pop star knows how to work a crowd. Here's the link to catch the highlights of his comeback gig.
