Who would have thought that a former Miss Faliraki would end up producing a show on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Scotland, but that's the shocking revelation that emerged during tonight's show.
I had asked for your holiday memories as part of our '30 Days in Europe' season. Little did I know that our very own Miss Babs would fess up on air to having been the former holder of the aforementioned title. She's just rather snipply informed me that it was not a beauty contest, "It was more of a talent contest - kind of!" I'll spare you the details but it's clearly not the kind of talent contest that Susan Boyle will find herself entering anytime soon.
The holiday memories were flooding in on the text tonight and here's a selection of them. If you missed the show, the playlist is online and you can follow the usual links to listen again. The Team's holiday snaps are now also online and you can view them in the Get It On gallery.
Body Talk by Imagination became toilet talk in Benitses, Corfu as 8 guys shared 2 toilets and dubious plumbing and a basket for used poo paper, nightmare! No flushing allowed. Was that 1980? I'm not sure but Charles and Diana got married that summer. Gerry McGuigan in Bishopbriggs

Hello Brian. In 1991 my girlfriend and I, on holiday in crete, were walking around listening - one earphone each attached to a tape walkman - to sting's version of 'little wing'. We arrived at our destination halfway through the song so I pressed the stop button. At that precise moment a couple walking ha nd in hand towards us were singing ... 'little wing' at exactly the same point in the song that the tape had stopped at. My girlfriend and I just looked at each other in amazement. An unforgettable moment. John in Livingston.
