MC is feeling the love

CommentsSo glad that MC is doing OK, and please keep us posted! The cat that I used to have was a handful at the vet's and he was quite large, so the vet usually had to get assistance to hold him. Once he had a good hold, cat became more submissive. So it's not just MC, but of course a cat at the vet is never a happy cat, whatever the reason for him being there! Hug to MC.

All the best to MC. Do cats chase cars? About your husband and MC: you confirm what I have long suspected, i.e. guys have a wonderful calming influence ....

6/9/2006. I remember the indignity of it all too well MC. It is our duty to react volently to a v.e.t. If you want a few tips you will find them there. Delinquent mah backside!!!! If you really want to give 'em a hard time (no pun intended!) don't relax your sphincter until you are under anasthetic, that'll show the buggers....*gurrrr*

Last time I took one of my cats (old wonky one) to the V-E-T she produced a sample of everything on the way there, just in case he asked. Reckon it was just the stress, she was purring like mad when he gave her a cuddle.

glad to hear MC is feeling better - cannot comment rudely about vets, it was on the vet's recommendation that i acquired such well trained staff...

A v.e.t. supplying a dating agency on the side? Whatever next......speed dating for cats....that has possibilities.

Is the tooth fairy coming for MC as well? A half dozen cans of organic, vegetarian Friskies?
mjc from NM,USA
mjc has a cruel streak with which a cat can sometimes identify, but vegetarian Friskies is JUST GOING TOO FAR!

MC survived the vet (or should it be the vet survived him??).....he's a bit shoogly on the limbs following the anna-setic (however you spell it!!), but seems okay. Xray showed all is okay and he was microchipped into the bargain. He was given a pessesary (while asleep) and some laxative cream or his food. Oh the joys of that feline relief to come.........He's still camping by the door for the first opperchancity of being allowed out - not for 24hrs. Will update again tomorrow......Many thanks for the hugs.

Awww...MC is nearly as handsome as me *modest downward/sideyways gaze like Di* but whose are the eyeballs he is hugging to his furry besoom? Was it a very large rodent? Mighty Calvin indeed!
Flying Cat from an admiring glance
Friday AM - MC is back to normal. Desperate for ''out'' and lying in any place we might trip over him - just in case we forget he's there.........He was a sorry sight last night - he tried jumping off the bed and didn't realise his legs weren't all there yet. So after a cuddle, we left him downstairs for most of the evening, however, when I popped upstairs to get a book, he appeared behind me. Soon he was able to get up and down stairs fairly easily and camped outside the office door - so I could move back up there to finish my studies. When The Husband came home, MC was still a bit unsure of himself (and us) but this morning was a leaping to and fro window sills hoping for a reprieve. ...............So I'll don his collar (despite having a slight shave for the pre-med blood tests) and take him a wander at lunchtime, though he may well go off on his own. The hand-bell will go back on the door handle so he can let me know when he wants back in. So intellegent and yet so controlled by stupid humans!!

My moggy has a plastic mouse just like the one MC is cuddling. Quite possibly the best cat toy ever! ;-) Glad to hear he's better.

aaaaahhhh ! sniff sniff!
carol from withgarfield grin
Anne and others: are there squeaky plastic cats as well? For dogs? My lab would love to chew on one (I'd be flabbergasted if he were to cuddle with one).

These were MC's favourite, but you know what youngsters are like - he now favours a red-carrot-thing my mother gave him for Christmas and attacks it on a regular basis......He's out now and not returned for an hour or two - he will return.... or so me and The Husband keep convincing ourselves. When he does I'll take a newer photo and post it, then return to the non-entity status of being an ex-island blogger again.

He's back -as if he would disppear for too long without checking the food is out for him. Will post photo soon.......ish
