Carry on everyone...
Tomorrow's theme is all about the bands who lost a member but carried on regardless. We could include bands like genesis who coped without their lead singer as well as Take That who seemed to do alright minus Robbie Williams. There are also those bands who have soldiered on despite the tragic loss of one or more band members and it would be good to pay tribute to them tomorrow.

Thanks, how did you find that?
I make 14 - simply the ones i wasn't familiar with and a couple of trcaks that I knew that were bang on.
Thus:
Miss B : 46
Richard: 55
Mandi: 52
Kirsten: 41
Mandi one game in hand, Kirsten two games in hand, as the month finishes this week we may have to take an average of Kirsten's previous scores to even the scores out, but even so, she'll be hard to beat. Miss B's score will stay at 46 unless Friday produces a number higher than 14.

The obvious choice is Jessica, but it's slightly overheard because of Top Gear so the hit single Ramblin Man - the Allman Brothers Band would be a cheery alternative - Dickie Betts on fine form.

not sure if the idea is that we request a track by the band AFTER the loss of the key member? Well, anyhow, I am not fussed about hearing the Pogues with Joe Strummer on lead vocals, but would love to hear 'A Pair Of Brown Eyes' with the voice of inimitable Shane MacGowan.

They invented guitar music and were so big they were asked to write the theme music for the Vision On Gallery. (It was used for a while before being substituted by The Noveltones – a superior tune IMHO).
Anyway, its a shame their groundbreaking lead guitarist will be better remembered as a state of readiness before your dinner rather than the innovative maestro that he was.

Ironically,it was Paul Kossoff, who was in and out the band with drug addiction issues, that is not credited on this track but it is quite clearly his lead guitar work that is unmistakably on display. The band was minus Andy Fraser by this point, again, ironically in this track, because of Kossoff's unreliability.
By the time we get to the Heartbreaker album, the bluesy hard edge had been knocked off as Andy Johns smoothed off the rough edges.
