i recently heard on the radio a pop song from the here and now and there was a blast of the uilleann pipes on it.
the only problem is i missed the name of the song and the name of the band....i was concentratin' tryin tae get in tae that waitrose car park. its no' easy.
i don't suppose i'll get that on unless sumdee knows what i'm talkin' aboot.

- Mick Jagger - From his Primitive Cool album, this features the Chieftain's Paddy Moloney on Uilleann pipes but you would have recognised Mick's voice. Paddy seems to have worked with everyone from Mike Oldfield to The Muppets.

Zills, also zils or finger cymbals, (from Turkish zil, "cymbals" [1]) are tiny metallic cymbals used in belly dancing and similar performances.[2] They are called s膩j膩t (氐丕噩丕鬲) in Arabic. They are similar to Tibetan tingsha bells.

I didn't know that but wikipedia told me so it must be true.

how about setting the BB producers a challenge and find the rare recording of her singing
Marvin Gayes....Sexual Healing...on which is the haunting sound of the UILEANN PIPES...played masterfully by Davy Spillane....

or indeed....we can hear him play these pipes on the rare solo track by GARY KEMP.....an inexperienced man....
