Step up to the mic...
I decided to go for Jimmy Smith who really livened up tonight's show with The Cat. Besides that I thought that a Hammond Organ would sound great in our band.
Now we move on to arguably the most important role. Just who should front this band of disparate talents? Let's have your shouts for who should be the lead vocalist...

big 2nd for the Blue nile.
the band is such a mess of styles I decided to put up a strong soul/disco flavour just to really mix it up.
Apart from an outright crooner - Engelbert - or the totally ludicrous, little Jimmy Osmond, it was hard to know who could lead this lot... let's face it, Ray Jackson isn't going to work with Rod Stewart again...

ok so that leaves 1.
for it is she of the beautiful voice.
the one who sings like she knows what singing is meant to be.
listen to this and her voice defines what 'pop' should sound like.
her songs can be listened to in any environment....the car, the hoose, daein the hooverin' , anything at all.
but whenever i hear her voice i always stop and pause and reflect.
out of all the songs she sings i think this one is my bestie.
its the sharpest 3 minutes of american social history of the 60's on record.
and yet i've never heard it played on radio.
the greatest singer ever to grace any pop song.
