Oh Carol...
We are all looking forward to bringing you 成人快手 Radio Scotland's interactive carol concert on Wednesday night. If you have not been to an actual carol concert this year then I'd love you to be part of ours.
Members of the Glasgow Chamber Choir will be in the studio and sharing their beautiful voices with us. All you have to do is get in touch and let me know what your favourite carol is.
We will also feature recorded versions throughout the show so if there is a particular version by one of your favourite artists then let me know.

i haven't made my most unusual request yet so i'll do so now.
i first saw them in the glasgow university chapel during the west end festival and then more recently in st aloysius church on st andrews night..... a celebration of the patron saint of the russian navy, st. andrew, and it was a dedication to mark 70 years since the arctic convoy sailed and helped make the world a safer place....in the audience were two veterans of that convoy and a moving little speech was made by the russian hosts of the evening.
the music was blissful the setting just right.
you should really try and catch this group of amateur singers......the folk songs and classics all sung in russian.........i came away twice feeling more reflective, uplifted and happy.
a song that might be appropriate for wednesday as well................
'wintry road'........by vissarion shebalin......sung by .......russkaya capella
friday night..................families.
'rockaway beach'..........the ramones..................for 'father christmas'......as i'll be dressed as him running a 5k on rockaway beach on christmas eve.
second unusual request...............anything by justin beiber. i haven't a clue what he sings but i'm being dragged along to see him , lady gaga and pitbull in times square on new years eve. should be good.
i'll have to get up early on new years day though as i'm going to see giants v cowboys, i've a spare ticket.....
thats how my year is ending...............a tumultuous year.........next year promises to be exciting.
so i wish you and your families and the GIO squad a very happy xmas and new year and hope you all have good health and remember if ye dinnae GIO dinnae come on here and moan aboot it......you know who you are.
cheers frae brooklyn (aka dale_kelvin)

Fortunately, I've never been interested in jewellery - although I accept it would be a better investment than the pile of scrap that goes under the title 'classic cars' and which swallows up endless cash whilst deteriorating both in value and before your eyes.

Theme idea: today's Herald identify's a tribe known as '拢50:00 quid man' the ageing record buyer who can while away days in Fopp buying up CD's, inspired by having nothing more exciting to do.
This is slightly sexist, so, it should be : You're standing in Fopp with a spare 拢50:00 - what will you go for - The Trojan Box Set, or put your 拢50:00 down as a deposit on The Smiths over priced collection, the remastered White Album or In The Court Of The Crimson King?
This actually happened to me: following a stint as a witness in a court case ( I was never called) the judiciary awarded me expenses of circa 拢50 ... I wandered from the courrt along to the local Virgin Mega Store and bought a whole load of hippy albums. Great fun.

Wiil work up an appetite with a couple of lengths of the Amazon in the morning. Lunch at home, Gisele Bundchen is cooking this year (which is nice). Have to go easy on the grub though coz it鈥檚 the annual charity 5 a side in the afternoon (Zico, Romario, Ronaldo and Pele in my team). In the evening Tom Jobim and Francis Albert are popping round to give us a couple of tunes on the terrace.
