The Four Tops and the Supremes was 1970. I thought maybe Nutbush City Limits was the intended track, but it's 73, still, it's closer than 66.

I've listened to a few versions of Little Green Apples but think Bobby Goldsborough's version is best. Leapy Lee does a good version too. I can't remember who had the hit with it.

i'm baggin' this one to be the one song about 'green' that doesn't have 'green' in its title..............

its definitely a 'green' song and a few nods to derek jarman who created something 'green' , beautiful and inspiring on the beach at dungeness.
if you've never been there , you should put it on your 'must do' list because not only is there the awesome sight of the highly visible iconic 'dungeness B' nuclear power station but its now surrounded by a 'wind farm' on romney marsh. how green is that?.........there's also a fabulous wee bird sanctuary. the whole area is totally 'green'.

Today is a very special day in the life of one of the blogetariat, Adam_from_Rio has reached his 50th birthday. I hope that Bryan will find time to wish him all the best from Scotland's #1 music show.

Adam shares his birthday with one of his heroes, Simon Le Bon. "Rio" would therefore have been appropriate but unfortunately I can't think of a green connection there.
