With some reluctance and hesitation, I think these wold have made good Bond themes:
Undercover of the Night - the Rolling Stones
Self Control - Laura Branigan
On The Border - Al Stewart ..or maybe Year Of The Cat
Reds In My Bed - 10CC
Starngers In The Night - Engelbert disco version, masterpiece:-))
more to follow...

The Lipstick On His Collar - Caro Emerald This is it!!! Perfect fit. Bang on theme, I don't know who's behind this album but it really takes the breath away, mind you, on the continent, they like they're elctro swing, but this moves it to high art.

This might be a good song for a film with a female Bond.
'Woman' - Neneh Cherry...the string arrangement is Bond-theme-ish. Unfortunately it lacks a big-impact ending but could do the job pretty well.
Who would make a good Jamesina Bond then? Rachel Weiss...she's currently Mrs Bond anyway!

Please take your pick:
All Mine
Sour Times
Numb
Glory Box
Gloomy Sunday
