Speedy suggestions...
Speed is a scalar quantity with dimensions length/time; the equivalent vector quantity to speed is velocity. Speed is measured in the same physical units of measurement as velocity, but does not contain the element of direction that velocity has. Speed is thus the magnitude component of velocity. It's also tonight's theme. We've got a couple of minutes before the show starts ( we're currently on the sports news) so I thought I would put up a quick appeal for tonight's show. Will it be Life In The Fast Lane or Speed of Sound? Don't hang about now...
Oddest song of the night has been Jim from Erskine's suggestion of Roy Orbison's Fastest Guitar Alive ( shaped like a lovely woman according to Roy.) It was the title of a movie which featured Roy in the title role as a secret agent whose guitar shot bullets! Here's the to the fansite I mentioned on air and also photographic evidence of the instrument that has rattling strings like a gattling gun - whatever that is...

We've put a lot of effort into getting ProducerBabs to even mention our Floyd requests on air! We're hopeful that one day she might even listen to a track by Floyd / Tull / Bragg before condemning it to the bin.
We don't want to anger the production team at this delicate stage in the negotiations!
