~ Beauty Outdoors ~

Leave the claustrophobic flat
High up the stairs
Out of sight.

Windows overlooking
The flats so old
Voices to be heard
And so very cold.

Music so loud
If that is what
It is called
Echoes around
This claustrophobic
Flat so cold.

Stairs so creaking
Wood painted beams
Lead out to a world unseen
For some confined
In their homes.

How nice it would be
For they to venture
Out into a world a new
A sight to behold
If only they could
Perhaps one day
Their dream will
Come true.

Displaying my 'L' plates

As you know I am recent mover to the isle of Mull - and delighted I am too in finding such a beautiful and traquil location for my writing.

Obviously being new - my 'L' plates - continue to be displayed - on my wee jacket - as I embark on my walk of Tobermory - and my attempts at learning what is going on.

With my eyesight - not easy!!!

I noticed (2) large ships in the bay - today (*Monday), one of which was tied up at the pier.

Now can anyone assist as to what these ships might be - and also are they visitors from the mainland on a tour or from another isle.

The other ship anchored in the Bay - I think - unless he was navigating after taking a wrong trurn!!!

I was using my wee Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone to take this shot.

Glimpse of a Smile

The wind and rain - so often appears - and dark clouds ever present - dim the light of a smile.

May the glimmer of sunshine and blue sky - bring some light relief to each and everyone of us - perhaps - even a smile.

Royal Mail

We all luv to receive mail - okay well sometimes - we do.

How about receiving when it is daylight - otherwise I may fall asleep - in the dark - waiting, and waiting.

Meet - KIRRA

I would like you to meet my Cavalier King Charles and her name is 'Kirra'.

If you see Kirra and I - on our walks stop and say hello - she loves a cuddle.

If you are a nice young lady - I too luv a nice cuddle  although I will understand if you prefer to give Kirra a hug - after all she is beautiful.

~ Storms of Mull ~

Gales appear to be
Never ending
As one does battle
To walk outdoors.

Rain lashing
In combination
The bullies of elements
Strike at will.

Only those who have need
Dare leave the safety of home
Wrapped in coats & capes
Hats secured under chin.

Harshness of the isles
It man seem to those
Who visit - brief indeed.

Leaves sodden underfoot
Flooding on roads
Unable to cope
Fools are those
Whose haste
Blinkered of car
Splash the poor soul
Who has to walk outdoors.
