Leave the claustrophobic flat
High up the stairs
Out of sight.
Windows overlooking
The flats so old
Voices to be heard
And so very cold.
Music so loud
If that is what
It is called
Echoes around
This claustrophobic
Flat so cold.
Stairs so creaking
Wood painted beams
Lead out to a world unseen
For some confined
In their homes.
How nice it would be
For they to venture
Out into a world a new
A sight to behold
If only they could
Perhaps one day
Their dream will
Come true.
