That looks like a small cruise ship. Maybe Roman Abramovich has sold off his old yacht and this is his new one?

Hi Island Poet, I had a look at your Wordpress.com, Very nice indeed and I love the photograph of the Cat in the Cage with the Canary on top. Sorry I cannot help with boat identification, but perhaps you could ask the Harbour Master?

It certainly looks like a gin palace...unless Calmac have put a super-lux high-speed ferry on the route...

You could be right Jill

Thank you 'Squidgy the Otter' - delighted of your kind comments of my blog. Yep, guess the harbour master is the one to ask.

 luv your identification of a 'gin palace' Flying Cat - although 'Calmac' may be doing secret trials - I wonder???

Don't see my last answer, but if it's lost in cyberspace, here it is again. It's either Lord of the Glens or Lord of the Isles.Expensive cruise boats that cruise the Western Isles. In July,it's full of Americans.

looks like the "Lord of the Glens" cruise ship. Often at Tobermory. Agree with Cathy. And, in true "Tobermory Visitor" style, they walk down the middle of the main street, under the impression that it is some sort of precinct..... Wonder if they do that at home? :-) MM

They do that in Stromness too, but we like the entertainment of watching people watching us watching people...so I for one don't mind if they stray all over the road. No-one's in that much of a hurry on 'the street'.

FC, speaking of being in a hurry, the Isle of Mull Car Rally starts soon. Makes the roads... interesting ... to say the least. Good fun though! MM

Is it a sort of scaled down (Manx) Southern Hundred? One-way system one hopes...
Flying Cat from vroom-vroom
FC: Closed roads (thankfully!) So for the most part reasonably safe!

The mystique of Mull - if only my eyesight allowed more vision. Thanks all.
