If only the
Autumn leaf
would stay a
Wee while longer.
Embrace the colours
Carpets of leaves
On footpaths
All can be seen.
And yet to see
Leaves in colour
On trees and bushes
Along the lane
Gaze up
And they constantly
Dazzle you.
Treasure the
Autumn days
For what they bring
And as I wander
Along the lane
My thoughts
Are of
"If only".
