And there I was hoping for some good quatrains in the local lingo. Hugh MacDiarmid, bless his memory, went to his grave having done his best for Scotland and what passes for Scot. Clearly you come from a different mould # Anyway, have fun. Everyone has to write poetry, and the sooner you get it out of your system, the readier it will be for the rigors of haggis and guga.

te above verse are my thoughts when i look up at a clear sky at night or when flying during the night--no clouds ,just blackness and stars-beautiful

mjc - sorry to disappoint - however we all have our our traits - and mine will always be poetic.

I find sitting by the pool on a summer night--about mid august(over here) a glass- in one hand an just sit and look up at the clear sky,then---------hundreds of shooting stars all over the sky, pure wild beauty in its best:ths goes on for about four or five nights in a row--its so beautiful to watch and for me very intriguing--what is really up and out there??????

A delightful visualisation you portray Carol and one in which allows the charm of the night sky - its continued mystique.

Can't wait till I come back again in October. I never get fed up waxing lyrical about the biggest ever night sky and millions of stars to my friends. You just don't get the same effect in a town.

Thank you Cathy, indeed so very true - of a town -and the disappointment of so many - who luv the sky at night.
