Lovely hats, Michelle. I'm surprised the hatpins work, though! Stick to the bonnets, they're less likely to blow away :-)

The pink one for this Easter puts me in mind of the late Queen Mother, does your hat maker have Royal connections?

Lovely photos of lovely hats! I am jealous...I would love to wear hats but I have a fringe and it gets in my eyes when I wear them!

Personally, I would suggest the addition of a Mao hat to the wardrobe, plus a copy of the Little Red Book to the library. I had both, not so long ago (as it seems), and I can testify to the usefulness of one and the hilariousness of the other. I would vouch that your presence with the two props at the Dounby Fair would be a head turner.

One of the Hat Lady's hats has met the Queen while perched on a lady's head which is just tooo cool! These hats that I've purchased are usualy below $100 (拢50) which is shocking! Otherwise I could only aford one or two. Can I get a Mao hat emblazoned with, "...Women Hold Up Half Of The Sky.." or is that asking for too much? I have a fringe but because I love to war hats I keep it trimmed enough that it doesn't hang in my eyes like a sheep dog whenever I stuff a hat on my noggin. I still can't figure out why the grey/black hat is my favourite. You'd think I'd be attracted to the more colourful flashy hats but if I had to give them all away except one I'd keep the grey feathered affair. Interesting!

Hi there! I am a long time reader of your other blog, ave maria, but I couldn't figure out how to comment on there. I was reading your post about simple dresses, and I have to say I love the green dress. I can't seem to find it on fashions in time though...which dress is it, could you tell me?
