Fog

Day three of the fog.

Anyone else in the middle of a really long spell? This is like something out of a Stephen King book here.

...hubble bubble toil and trouble...not a particularly long spell, but quite popular. Is the horror due to the fog or emporiohardslaw?

Looks like the fog went then! Just a query; if tin whistles are made of tin, what are fog horns made of?

I've read this blog a couple times now, and both times I missed the first sentence. So I was wondering what kindo spells you were all using........ (Sorry, but Harry P is all over the place these days, and I thought maybe it was gettin a bit oot o hand.)

Ram's horns, Hyper-B? In my memory and my dreams, a fog horn sounds just like the blowing of the shofar. Reassuring, pleasant, peaceful, even for a goy like me.

In the words of th old song mjc the answer was ,"Cotton wool." I like the idea of ram's horns though. The old shetland men used to use a cow's or perhaps a bull's horn they called it a luder horn. Very Viking, can't you just see Kirk Douglas up to his neck in crabs? Sadly the lighthouse foghorns have all but disappeared now as the lights are no longer manned. I spent six years hearing the Sumburgh Head fog horn on and off and can recall as a child being able to hear the Mersey Bar Lightship which was five or six miles offshore from the village in which I grew up.

Further to goyim mjc. As a kid we were not too well off and my dad had a second job as part time caretaker at the synagogue. My brother had the inevitable saturday job as a result. He was the Saturday Goy for the Rabbi. The nicest thing about this was that for years even after my dad had retired he got a christmas card from the Rabbi
