The Power

Maybe 9000 volts would be a more suitable song title. Or something by The Power Station or Electricity by OMD?
We've had a power cut - cutting us off from heat & light of the real world. (I think it was all the Fetlar School Blogs overloading the system myself.) Apologies for them being blog hogs. They can't apologise themselves at the school has been shut today (due to no power).
We've were powerless from 8am on Sunday until 3pm today. The power went, of course, whilst I was making a cup of tea. The Hydro couldn't get anyone out yesterday to fix us as there were no ferries running due to the wind / tide / sea. It was some wind & a horrible day yesterday (18th). Doesn't seem to have done too much locally (other than make us freeze overnight with no power). Its noticeable when you wake up and can see your own breath. Delightful.
At least it was back on before the snow is due to arrive.
Felt really sorry for the engineer trying to fix problem in this weather. Thanks for doing it though!

You would think they would have waited till you had your tea. Very inconsiderate I must say.
