So here it is: A Fetlar blog about Unst.
[This blog was delayed because it didn't have a suitable song title. But it does now!]
Some people may have thought that Up Helly Aa' was over for 2007. Well it isn't. In the island to the north of us it has only just begun. Today is the Uyeasound Up Helly Aa'. The Vikings invaded the Junior High School, the Care Centre and the Uyeasound Primary School. The bairns from Fetlar also travelled out in the early morning light to see the Viking Invasion.
Scary people in Unst! We would never do anything like that here.

For those who don't know, the title is a song by Bjork so it qualifies twice as she is Icelandic ( & there's lots of [pretend] violence).

Scary. Yeah right. That big scary viking is about to play peever, unless the markings on the playground (sorry battlefield) have deeper significance relating say, to rape and pillage and sacking. *sigh* Liff's no fun these days....
