God’s Own County - A Garden for Yorkshire
RHS/ Chelsea People's Choice Award winner 2016
Stained glass in the garden is made by the York Glaziers Trust, who are renovating the 15th Century East Window at York Minster.
A pool of water sits between the seating area and the stained glass, which wraps around the building on the left hand side.
There are a series of beds directly inspired by the colours of the stained glass in the Great East Window.
On the upper level of the garden is an area of woodland planting, celebrating the many fine woodland gardens in Yorkshire.
