"GODIDOG, ARDDERCHOG...."

15th December 2008

"Godidog, ardderchog, bendigedig" - three words basically meaning "great" used by Welsh learner Nic Morgan to describe a trip around the 成人快手 in Cardiff. Around 25 visitors from the Glamorgan Welsh for Adults Centre were given a tour of the news studio and gallery as well as a tour of the Pobol y Cwm set.

Over lunch Radio Wales presenter Roy Noble popped down for a quick chat with the learners. Then the visitors had the chance to walk the streets of Cwm Deri as well as seeing the inside of some of the Pobol y Cwm characters' homes - and of course the bar of the Deri pub.

Newyddion and Post Cyntaf presenter Garry Owen was on hand with anecdotes from his career in journalism, as learners tested out the studio sofa and the newsreader's chair. "I had the chance to sit in the hot seat," said David Jones from Quakers Yard, "I feel like a star now!"

The day ended with a question and answer session from Hywel Gwynfryn who gave the visitors an amusing insight into his life story. "It was excellent, especially speaking to Hywel Gwynfryn and Garry Owen," said Ken Passmore from Radyr in Cardiff.
