Colin joins the lessons
Big Welsh Challenge learner Colin Charvis inspired others to take up Welsh when he joined would-be learners at the 成人快手 Cymru Wales Here for You roadshow in Cwmbran. The sessions, with a sporting theme, were designed to show that learning a language can be fun and crowds of people flocked to join in.
Around 250 visitors picked up a few basic Welsh phrases in five minute taster classes taught by local tutor Karen Riste. Victoria from Cwmbran and her eight year old son Sam were among those who took part.

"It was educational and fun," said Victoria. "I run a playgroup so if I can speak a bit of Welsh that really helps. I learnt some new words like "rygbi" ("rugby") and how to say I like or don't like something."
Gillian leads the singing
Actress Gillian Elisa rounded off the day with a national anthem masterclass. She took the crowd through the words before leading the singing, with music provided by the 成人快手 National Orchestra of Wales quartet.
