Boreham Wood have been excellent. They are so efficient in their shape and they are making the gaps so small between the lines.
When they have won the ball they have shown a bit of composure.
They have not turned up just to defend and they have been comfortable.
Everton have to do more.

Boos from everywhere but the section housing the Boreham Wood fans as the half-time whistle goes. One fan in front of the press bit here used a few words I can’t repeat. All those in black and white let out an almighty roar to greet what has been a superb 45 minutes from the National League team. They’ve defended with discipline, intelligence and fight. It seemed like an impossible mission before the game. I think more than a few Blues fans might be getting a little bit worried.

You are looking for a spark for Everton now and it looks like Anthony Gordon will be the most likely to create something.
He just looks a class above.
Everton 0-0 Boreham Wood
First real chance of the game and it comes from Anthony Gordon whipping a low cross-come-shot into the area.
It takes a nasty bounce off the surface but Taye Ashby-Hammond sees it all the way and pushes it out.
That was sneaking in.
