Sea and elevations: wonderful combination. How high are those elevations? Mountains + plains/deserts are quite nice also, but rather different: For full effect one needs views spanning miles by the scores.

Wonderful photos, stunning views. We get all the pleasure (or at least some of it) without the effort! Thanks.

Very beautiful nature, perhaps even more beautiful than Norway. I have a favourite song by Elton John, called Answer in the Skye. Talisker is a good one.
Dag from Norway
Nowhere is more beautiful than Norway, not even Skye or whatever it's called nowadays....but it's a close-run thing.

Beinn na Caillich and neighbours stand about 720 metres / 2,400 feet tall. Fantastic views, I tried BnC once but got stuck in bogs on the way up.
Arnish Lighthouse from Stornoway
New Mexico is not too bad either...

I went back to Skye in the summer for the first time in years and it was as beautiful as i had remembered. I've never felt so relaxed. My 9 year old daughter loved it and so did my husband so much so that we may return to live when he leaves the raf. I love how rugged it is and how much the scenery changes, bliss
