My first post

Greetings fellow readers this is my first post about my life as a farmer in North Uist.
I have to say that today has been a rough day, my favourite tractor broke down as I was driving down to the local shops to pick up my newspaper (I read the Guardian). I had to ask Andy McDougal to come and help me pull it back to the farm where it appears that one of the cylinder heads has cracked.
If anyone knows where I can get spare cylinder heads for Auld Bessie then I'd be very grateful as it normally takes about six months before important items reach our small island.
Well I'll leave you with that thought, I'm back to riding the horse to carrying out my business now. I bet you never thought that we'd go back to that form of primitive transport on North Uist!
