Have you tried the 'Tim-Tam experience'?
It is a MUST.................
1) Get a cup of tea
2) Packet of Tim-tams (or penguins - not green ones)
3) Bite off a top corner and a bottom corner of the biscuit
4) Dip the bottom corner into the tea and 'sook' up the tea through the biscuit like a straw! QUICKLY, then pop in your mouth -
Massive chocolate explosion!!!!

Fifi - yep been taught that trick, though I have to say - I've learned over the years to do it in private....

I worked for 3 years in the cells at Edinburgh Sheriff Court before moving to Mull. At lunch times each day the prisoners were fed a penguin biscuit along with sausage and chips. Somehow it devalued penguin biscuits to the point where I doubt I will ever eat one again! I am just so grateful that the prisoners weren't given Tunnocks Caramel Wafers or life just wouldn't be worth living!

Sorry to disagree, but the only similarity between Penguins and Tim Tams is that they are rectangular and made of chocolate. :) Taste is quite different, and Penguins are far superior.

I have to agree, timtams are an acceptable alternative but only if the genuine article is unavailable.

I know the rapidly diminishing form of a Penguin Biscuit, small is beautiful but you're still blooming hungry. But what in the name of G** is a Timtam? (Derek Liston's sister!) in Corfu.

Derek Liston and Brenda Braithwaite are my brother and sister who don't know where these entries came from. Can you help? Val Cooper penguin lover

I have never really liked Penguins at all. Skippy biscuits were my favourite. Went to Oz in search of Timtams but still not tasted one, although it seems to be becoming a family tradition!
