The flow of the water is calming and the baby can listen and maybe imagine. You鈥檇 sing it for about an hour, sometimes longer, especially when the baby鈥檚 grumpy and not in the mood to sleep.
It reminds me of back home when I was a baby growing up. I remember the comfort of lying on my mum鈥檚 back and my auntie鈥檚 too. I was about five when my auntie stopped putting me on her back so I have very vivid and passionate memories of that. It takes me back.
We only speak Hausa within the house but outside it鈥檚 just English - so I don鈥檛 think they鈥檒l be able to sing it.
