'Nitin Sawhney's music is constantly surprising, tender, passionate and always evolving. When I saw him in London this year he convinced me that "world" music is an inadequate pigeonhole for his and many other styles which get marginalised to suit the record stores. His music is an expression of emotion and modern culture that is as complex and undulating as the landscape.'
