Ava Vidal

Ava Vidal is a comedian who has appeared on Michael McIntyre鈥檚 Comedy Roadshow, Mock The Week and Let鈥檚 Dance For Comic Relief.

It鈥檚 hardly been a conventional career path. She had her first child as a single Mum of 18, then worked for five years as a prison guard at HMP Pentonville, where she says dealing with the inmates provided the ultimate training for dealing with hecklers. She was inspired to try comedy after watching a Chris Rock performance.

Never one to hold back where injustice is concerned, Ava鈥檚 spoken out against homophobia, trolling and welfare reform and, as a passionate football fan, she鈥檚 a patron of charity Show Racism The Red Card.

Will she meet her match on Free Speech?
