Francesca Martinez

Francesca is a stand-up comedian and actress who鈥檚 known for her Edinburgh Fringe Awards and her appearance alongside Kate Winslet in Ricky Gervais鈥檚 series Extras.

You might remember her though from her acting debut in the kids鈥� TV classic, Grange Hill.

She has cerebral palsy, referring to her condition as 鈥榳obbly鈥�, and is currently touring the UK with her stand up show What The **** Is Normal, which addresses what 鈥榥ormality鈥� means today.

She鈥檚 no stranger to speaking out for what she believes in - in 2008 she pulled out of the Beijing torch relay live on Channel 4 News over China鈥檚 treatment of Tibet, and we鈥檙e sure she鈥檒l be standing up about things again on Free Speech.
