1952: Elizabeth becomes Queen
A series of previously unseen sketches of Queen Elizabeth II - including these by John Wonnacott - are to be displayed at a London exhibition to mark the Diamond Jubilee.
The preparatory sketches - like this one by Michael Noakes - are by artists who have all painted the monarch.
These sketches were made by Jeff Stultiens for a portrait he painted in 2003.
Both sketches (like this one by Susan Ryder) and finished works will be on display at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters' annual exhibition.
The show, comprising more than 200 portraits, will also feature paintings of celebrities and major public figures. This sketch is by James Lloyd.
The exhibition - which will include this sketch by Robbie Wraith - runs at the Mall Galleries in London from 3 to 18 May.
