Simpson's
first collection was mainly concerned with sex and childbirth;
her second concentrates mostly on couples, marriage and child-rearing
and her latest on the difficulties of trying to live an individual
and family life. These collections echo the pattern of her
own life, her first work was written during her first pregnancy.
She
now has a son and daughter aged 8 and 10 and more time to
write.
In 2000 Simpson's new volume Hey, Yeah, Right, Get A Life
was published to excellent reviews.
