Qatar goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham is literally all over the place and gets away with fumbling the ball in front of him.

Not sure he inspires too much confidence from the defenders in front of him.

You have to admire the stamina of the Senegal drummers.

They're going at some pace and haven't stopped.

On the pitch, the isn't much tempo to the game - very start-stop.

That's a difficult one but I think that's clumsy from Sarr on Afif. He doesn't get anywhere near the ball at all, I've got to say I think that's really clumsy. Sarr has got away with one there. No contact with the ball at all.

That is clumsy. Very clumsy.

More of a penalty than the one on Ronaldo last night.

Is that a penalty? The hosts think so as Akram Afif is sent tumbling by Ismaila Sarr. On first look it appears soft with Afif's leg angling in towards the Senegal winger.

Then again didn't Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo get one for something similar on Thursday.

The crowd aren't happy and they are letting Spanish referee Antonio Mateu Lahoz know their view.

Qatar haven't really had any ball in the midfield area. They haven't had a chance to carve out any chances or control in that midfield.

Shades of Ederson from Edouard Mendy as the Chelsea goalkeeper almost gets his Senegal team-mate Ismaila Sarr in with a raking long drive.

His opposite number Meshaal Barsham is off his line sharpish and just does enough to put the Watford forward off.

Barsham does not look like the sort of keeper who likes to be glued to his line.

There's been a calmness to Qatar.

They've tightened up the gaps from the first and are trying to find a way up the pitch.

One early positive for Qatar...

The hosts have already had as many touches in the opposition's box (two) as they did in the entirety of their World Cup opener against Ecuador (also two).

Senegal are very much on top at the moment. The hosts are struggling to lay a glove on the Africa Cup of Nations champions.

What a ping from Idrissa Gueye. Senegal patiently build and then inject a bit of pace to their passing.

The Everton midfielder runs onto the ball on the edge of the Qatar area and arrows a daisy cutter inches wide of the left corner.

Qatar are very conservative, they're just allowing Senegal to get into the final third. Sabaly is trying to get down the right hand side as far as he can.

Former Barcelona youth coach Felix Sanchez does not look happy with his Qatar team at the moment.

They are well in the game but spending too much time on the back foot.

They are playing long balls into the Qatar box, and Qatar are struggling to win second balls.

The keeper Barsham doesn't ned to come that far. He was going into traffic there, he could have let his defenders deal with that one.

He has to score that, surely?

Qatar keeper Meshaal Barsham comes for the corner but gets nowhere near it but Senegal forward Famara Diedhiou heads wide from six yards.

Great chance that for Senegal.
