Sometimes

Sometimes when I look out over the sea, I have to pinch myself as I take in the beauty and isolation. Its when you look around you and you cannot see another soul and the land is yours. The Cullins are (still) up for sale, but the truth is they are so precious that no money can ever buy them, for everyone who is touched by there magic feel just as I do as I stand on the shore defying the cold wind that tries to chill my warming, happy heart.

Sometimes, just like in Hope Later's post, I take some time out to reflect where I have come from, what has happened and of the joy, vitality and happiness that seems to ebb through my body. I too walked away from what was making me unhappy (relationship), got on with my life, went to work, came home from work, got the children ready for bed and then read a book before my own. That was my life, not a bad life, but not the one that I had so long yearned for.

Sometimes you have to let the control go and just go with the flow. I met someone else and suddenly I felt everything. Skye is where I fell in love, where I live, where we will marry, where we will spend all of our happy times and in many years time, where my thoughts will be laid to rest forever.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that this isnt just heaven, this is home.

"...suddenly I felt everything" !!! Marvellous! Good for you. Highly envious!

Hope Later from not there yet

Spending several summers on Skye your descriptions painted beautiful views, your words spelled wonderful hopes for your future, all the best.

Courage pays off in the end.. in the serenity that comes with feeling and knowing that you have made a right decision, however hard it was to get there. I wish you a contented future.

Barney from Swithiod not Skye
