I've been enjoying different life with my 2 year old son, dog and husband.
my son make me happy and busy. but much better than Tokyo life. it was terrible busy.

also I keen to learn photography, art, etc, etc, never stop learning. especially I have to learn more English. My speaking has problem, people do not understand what I said sometimes. I'm really trying hard...

Hello, welcome to IB, nice to see you here. :-) Lovely pictures, I look forward to reading more of your blogs.

Hermit from Sanday

Konnichiwa and welcome. So glad you are enjoying life in the islands, and don't worry about your English - it's clear what you mean, and your spoken English will improve with experience. It must be really hard for you! Thank you for the photos.

Jill from EK

Hello, very interesting blog, Your English is better than my Japanese, in fact your English is probably better than my English. It is good to have different races and cultures on this site, maybe you will have a different view of island life, than those born and bred on island. Cheers, I was gonna put siyanarra but I don't know how to spell it.

Thewhitesettler from Isle of Lewis

Thank you for the comments. I wanted to start this blog, because some people still not understand me. oh dear. I think my vew is totally different. but I am really appreceiated so many people nice to me since I started live hear even I am a Japanese (still some people do not know where is Japan). Tonight it has a social event at cullipool hall. I will try to help. and hope people enjoy dancing. sometime, I will tell my long story about why moved here etc...

Oriental Ghost from Luing

I wouldn`t worry about folks not knowing where Japan is, I`ve met folks who think Orkney is somewhere near the Antarctic! You sound like a lovely, friendly person so I`m sure you`ll make lots of friends soon, and from experience, island folks tend to be lovely people too! :-)

ASIAN ghost, perhaps? "Oriental" was the preferred description of the Europeans (or should we say, Occidentals? no, not quite Accidentals) for the natives they encountered. Oriental has connotations in the English language that I would not be too happy with if I were you. # Remember: you don't have to talk like the locals. Try a little mumbling and a bit of stammering, and the locals will think you studied at Oxford. Whether, in consequence, your prestige goes up or down, I am not sure. The locals (islanders) can be unpredictable and ornery in this regard. # Is Luing a hotbed of Gaelic ultra nationalism? How is YOUR Gaelic? # I should keep a close eye on Hermit, if I were you. Otherwise, before you can say "Howdy Friar Tuck," you will be busy re-enacting Samurai legends with visiting TWS or Calum., not to mention Crofterbill, as impromptu ronin. Perhaps not: I would not want to encourage any of them to do seppuku on the Luing square, though of course it might attract tourists.

Hi OG, out of all the island blogs Luing probably fascinates me most. The northern isles, Orkneys & the Stornaway way mob are all trully fully paid up of the bonkers club. I really forward to your observations of life on Luing. Keep them coming!

duncan from livingston

Hi OG, you are very very welcome to this blog site. I am looking forward to your future blogs, and I understand you well. I am learning a language myself just now, and I understand how difficult it can be, although I am not living in the foreign country as you are. That must bring a whole different set of problems.

Ruthodanort from Unst (in Shetland)

Hello! I really enjoy your blog! It's so nice to see you here. You are far away from Tokyo! I hope you are very happy here in Scotland.

Michelle Therese from Things Go Moo in the Night...

Orkney not Orkneys duncan, and Orkney and Shetland ARE the Northern Isles....and bonkers is as bonkers does.... Hello Oriental Ghost from an Orkney cat! *prrrrrrr*

Flying Cat from The Sunroom of Eternity

I will do the same way of Japanese blog, that's mean I will try to reply all of comments. Hi Hermit, thank you for the comment. I would like to make more friends all of the world. It's a fun! Hi mij, sorry you don't like my Name. but it has so many meaning. at first, I was in Japan, I started learn antiques since I was in high schoool. The Oriental Bazzar in Tokyo is good place to see expensive antiques, Oriental came from there. My favorite place in Tokyo. and I do not like to call me "Asian". Yes, people feels "You are Asian!", I know. But long long time ago, it is a history of japan calls "Hi izuru kuni". I prefer "Oriental", especially I feel mysterius. hahaha. I'm really not mysterious. that's shame. oh dear. Hi duncan, thank you for the comment. Hi Ruthodanort, thank you for understand me. Yes, it's a really difficult to understand scotland culture and life style. I sometimes discuss with my japanese friends all of scotland to understand some problems. They help each other to understand. Hi Michelle Therese, yes, I'm happy to live here, I don't get any homesick. Before move here, I lived in Malaysia. that was another different time, but I love to live here. Hi Flying Cat, thank you for the comment.

Whatever makes you feel happy, OG, is fine with me. Do you have only one child? Any daughter? One who could play Calamity Jane or some other western heroine? Enjoy your summer.

mjc from NM,USA

Thank you mjc. I do not have any other children. somebady said bad goship 5 years ago, I left my child in Japan. I never ever had a child in Japan. Only I have this boy called Musashi. He is my special, because I got bad miscarriage and very closer to die in Oban. oh dear. not lots of people know about this I think. after that I thought I can not have a baby. when I gave up have a baby, suddenry I got pregnant. it was a miracle.

Oriental Ghost from Luing

I am glad you have a nice boy, OG.

mjc from NM,USA

It must be really hard to live in such a small place if you were living in Tokyo before. How was the change for you? I lived in Osaka for over a year and really enjoyed it but after that I came to live in a tiny place in Scotland and found it really difficult to adapt to a quiet life again. I'm not Scottish neither but I'm still here, still trying to adapt! Good luck with the gardening!
