Hello Eday School, It was nice of Mr Salmond to come all that way to see you all, and having visited your island 3 years ago, know that 130 is a crowd! What was the occasion?
Arnish Lighthouse from Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
He opened the tidal test centre which you can see in the bottom photo. It is the first site in the world that is trying to general electricity from tidal power.

Heard about this on Radio Orkney this morning. Sounded busy. 130 folk would be 2 times our population! I heard they ate in the school. It was have been really busy.
Fetlar School from Fetlar
Fetlar School, you can't believe everything you hear on Radio Orkney (or any other radio for that matter). No, they did not eat the whole school, but they did eat most of it. I shall not elaborate (leaving the matter to rank speculation), except to say that the excuse they gave was that there was no more ketchup.

It was a very lack-lustre performance by our nth First Min. as heard on Radio Orkney, but then he didn't need to pull out all the stops on a wee jolly like that. It seems our cooncillors are setting up a 拢2,000,000 fund to help with renewables. A better investment than the original ill-fated 'short-sea crossing' and Shetland's lost investment in Smyrril Line.
